Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality, and risk) for individual Senior Housing real estate projects, including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Interface directly with architects, engineers, development consultants, and owners to define project requirements.
  • Prepare scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates and budget, work plan schedule and milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Implement communication plans for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep owners and project resources informed. Facilitate project meetings.
  • Identify project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to eliminate or reduce risks.
  • Lead the project team, providing project guidance and direction to achieve project goals.
  • Demonstrate capability to read, understand, and apply standard and complex documents affecting senior housing real estate projects, including but not limited to agreements/contracts, leases, pay applications, change orders, surveys, and drawings.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in construction management or equivalent area of study.
  • Two (2) years of experience in commercial real estate with development experience, including knowledge of construction and stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience in preconstruction and managing construction projects.
  • Outstanding project management capabilities that forge high-performing working relationships with internal and external team members.
  • Highly energetic and organized.
  • Ability to travel.

Administrative, Interpersonal, and Managerial Skills:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Present oneself in a clean, neat, and well-kept appearance.
  • Possession of an active driver’s license with the State.
  • Ability to read and understand items such as labels, instructions, etc.
  • Minimize wasting of supplies and misuse of equipment.
  • Maintain budgets and other maintenance records and reports.
  • Seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing procedures.
  • Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of the work area.
  • Follow oral and verbal instructions, function independently, and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Possess personal integrity and the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and personnel.
  • Get along with departments as a Team Player.
  • Prioritize the performance of tasks, duties, and responsibilities in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information and stay within Corporate Compliance.
  • Adhere to a professional code of ethics.
  • Travel consistent with the demands of the position and be capable of performing the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations, including travel throughout the state under diverse weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of current market conditions.
  • Ability to deal with architects, civil engineers, and designers (contract management, technical communications).
