Responsibilities

As the Area Business Office Director, you will:

  • Oversee and support the business office operations across four Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) in Florida.
  • Travel routinely between locations to provide hands-on leadership and assistance.
  • Manage a wide range of SNF business office responsibilities including billing, collections, admissions paperwork, and compliance.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to on-site business office staff.
  • Assist in Entering/posting census, resident fund transactions, cash receipts, adjustments and ancillaries into MDI
  • Assist Business Office Manager with facility and resident trust deposits
  • Verify accuracy of all month-end activities such as balancing cash and accounts receivable reconciliation, verify receipts and claims, bill Medicare/Medicaid/Insurance/Private statements and TLC Management Month End Packet Reporting
  • Check completed and send Pre-Admission paperwork to local area on aging upon admission
  • Assist business office directors with helping resident families with financial admission and application for Medicaid
  • Reconcile and oversee the distribution of patient funds and facility petty cash

Qualifications

Business Office Manager Qualifications

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED
  • Extensive experience in Long-Term Care, medical billing and knowledge of general ledger accounting
  • Ability to work across multiple locations with flexibility and strong organization skills. 
  • Must possess knowledge of accepted accounting practices
  • Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities in a health-care setting.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of the principles of Business Office policies/procedures
  • Basic Computer knowledge and skills
